StarMap (starmap.cl) is operated by Francisco Aldunate Rodríguez, based in Talca, Chile. By making a purchase you agree to these terms. Questions? Email us at contacto@starmap.cl.
1. What we sell
Personalized digital files: a map of the sky calculated for the date, time and place you choose, delivered as a PNG image. There are three resolutions (Standard, HD and 4K) and a two-part phone wallpaper for couples. We do not ship physical products: you print the file wherever you like.
2. Preview and delivery
Before paying you see the complete map on screen and can change the style, text and details as many times as you want. Once your payment is confirmed, the download unlocks instantly in the same browser you paid from. Save the file as soon as you download it; if anything goes wrong, email us and we will sort it out.
3. Prices and payment
- Outside Chile, prices are charged in US dollars (USD). Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as our Merchant of Record and handles sales tax and VAT where applicable. Creem's terms also apply to those purchases.
- Purchases made from Chile are charged in Chilean pesos (CLP) through MercadoPago.
- We never see or store your card details.
4. Refunds
Because each file is a personalized digital product that you review before paying and that is delivered instantly, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds once the file has been downloaded. We will refund you, or fix the file if you prefer, when:
- you paid but could not download your file and we are unable to resolve it;
- you were charged twice for the same order;
- the file contains an error on our side, for example it does not match the preview you approved.
Email contacto@starmap.cl within 14 days of your purchase and include your receipt. We reply within 2 business days. This does not affect your statutory rights.
5. How you may use your file
Your file is for personal use: you may print it, frame it, give it as a gift and share it on social media. You may not resell it or use it to sell products to others without our written permission. The design, the rendering engine and this website belong to StarMap. Star data comes from the AT-HYG catalog, published under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
6. Astronomical accuracy
Positions are calculated with professional astronomical models (VSOP87, ELP2000/82 and the AT-HYG catalog). Small differences may occur due to rounding or the accuracy of the time and place you enter. The map is a decorative piece and is not suitable for navigation.
7. Text you add
You are responsible for the names and messages you add to your map. Do not use the service to create illegal or offensive content, or content that infringes the rights of others.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. Each purchase is governed by the version published on this page at the time of purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of Chile.
